Inverted mode reverses the brightness mapping so that dark pixels get light characters and vice versa. This is useful when displaying ASCII art on a dark background or when the default mapping does not match the look you want.

There is no hard limit. The image is scaled down to the target character width before processing, so even large images convert quickly. Performance depends on your browser and device.
